What do you actually earn per hour?
Put in a salary or a stated hourly rate, the hours you work, and the weeks you actually work. You get the effective rate after unpaid breaks.
How the numbers work
In salary mode, annual gross is divided by the hours you are on the job over the weeks you enter. In hourly mode, the stated rate times those hours is the annual figure; the effective hourly rate is that total spread over the same time including unpaid breaks.
Unpaid meal breaks are extra time at work, not extra pay. They apply once per workday, assuming a five-day week. Weeks per year is the weeks you actually work, so leave can come off. This is an estimate only — it ignores tax, super, and penalty rates, and it is not take-home pay. For that, use the take-home pay calculator.
