Hire it or buy it?

Put in the hire rate, the purchase price, and how long you need it. You get both totals, the break-even point, and a straight answer.

How the numbers work

Hire total is the rate you entered times how many hours, days, weeks, or months you need it — whichever unit you pick. Partial periods round up to the next whole one.

Break-even is the first whole period where the hire bill reaches the purchase price. Beyond it, buying is the cheaper call on price alone. Storage, maintenance, and resale are yours to weigh.

Everything runs in your browser. Your last set of numbers is remembered on this device and never leaves it.
